This comparative study examines how access to contraception and sexual health education affects adolescent pregnancy rates in two contrasting Indian regions-urban Delhi and rural Bihar. Using data from the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5, 2019–21) and international frameworks like the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3.7), the research evaluates how global reproductive health initiatives translate into real change on the ground.
To what extent has the global effort to increase access to contraception and reduce adolescent pregnancy been successful in Delhi, compared to Bihar?
