The Founder

Daphne Bernstein
Hi, I’m Daphne Bernstein and I am a senior in high school from New York. I have always been interested in science, but after taking a biology course my freshman year of high school, my passion for it has grown. Additionally, after researching and writing a speech on educational inequalities in developing countries in my freshman year, I realized how the issue was intrinsically linked to gender inequality and women's health. Therefore, this project is an attempt to tie the two topics together in a way that can hopefully impact the lives of many women and girls.
In my free time, I love to play tennis, and I was a part of the New York State Championship team in both 2022 and 2023.

Lydia Rasetti

Hi, I’m Lydia Rasetti, a recent college graduate who majored in psychology and cognitive science. I was drawn to the Her Health Matters project because of my interest in how psychological and social factors influence women’s health and access to care. Through my academic work and experiences supporting peers as a writing consultant and community volunteer, I’ve seen how health challenges often go unrecognized or untreated due to limited resources or stigma. I’m passionate about helping create more open conversations and practical support systems that empower women to better understand and advocate for their own well-being.
